On top of the hill opposite the Strahan docks is a cemetery.
It overlooks Macquarie
Harbour. Cemeteries I find interesting. This I found disturbing.
These two graves
I thought were just buried. But on closer inspection I noticed the weeds
growing
on the graves. I found the dog and footprints disturbing. They were
buried just
next to the road surface. Were they poor or did they want to be buried
like this.
It caused me to reflect on the meaning of life and made me think why not just
be buried in an umarked grave - what does it matter. Yet someone did care a
little.
