As I said, they really are heroes.  The lady in the middle is the boss, a PWS Ranger.  They had just finished their work day.  They have nine days on and five off and work from 8 to 5.  This crew was working on the track at Lake Vera, leading to Frenchmans Cap.  A Herculean effort, absolutely incredible effort.  The Parks and Wildlife Service of Tasmania have done bushwalkers and the environment a great service by putting so much resources to maintaining the tracks.  The other Australian states could learn from them.  I would gladly pay an equivalent fee they charge for park entry for walkers in my home state if they used the money on track maintenance.
